About
About Linda Schnabel, Principal
Accredited through the ICF (International Coaching Federation), Linda has over two decades of solid experience as a leadership, team, and career development coach. With both private and public sector clients, Linda deploys her advanced coaches’ training to serve as a catalyst for organizational learning and leadership development.
Incorporating proven coaching models and psychometric measurements into her work, Linda has collaborated extensively with individuals to explore and answer the question, “How can I leverage my skills, talent, and emotional intelligence to support effective leadership?” She has worked with hundreds of individuals, including C-suite leaders, to influence the expression of their leadership intelligence organizationally, supporting them to convert key objectives into success stories.
In addition, Linda’s work has included participation in the establishment of a new operation for a national career management firm as well as active involvement as lead coach in major organizational downsizing, restructuring, and developmental initiatives for a diverse range of industries. These include healthcare, packaged goods, transportation, technology, finance, insurance, food services, and manufacturing.
She has contributed to a global knowledge transfer initiative, a proprietary process that captures and records intellectual property from key employees in order to minimize organizational risk.
Linda’s work today includes collaborating with a team of organizational leaders, PhDs, and leadership consultants at Her New Standard in New York. There, she adds to the team’s passion and commitment to maximize female talent in the workplace –– crushing that proverbial glass ceiling. Through one-on-one coaching and workshop facilitation, Linda helps to set a new norm for women leaders.
Eager to act as a mentor and leader in her own field, Linda embraces opportunities where she can have far-reaching impact. For several years, as a member of The International Coaching Federation’s Global Assessor Team, Linda evaluated exams for students seeking their credentials in the growing field of professional coaching.
Currently, she serves as a Board member for the International Coaching Federation’s IRB (Internal Review Board) where she participates in the fair review, investigation and response to complaints concerning the ethical conduct of ICF members and ICF credential-holders.
Linda has also held two advisory positions on the board of Career Professionals of Canada: Certification Committee Chair and Learning and Development Committee Chair. In this capacity, she was awarded for leading the development of three nationally recognized certification programs.
Linda is a writer of both fiction and non-fiction. In 2012, she published, “Launching Your New Job”, available through The Ryan Group.
During the pandemic, her peer collaboration in a Zoom workshop series, intended to support the community as it dealt with the implications of the global pandemic, resulted in the publication of “Wise Tails.” This book was the joint effort of participants – heartwarming stories told through the voice of an animal. Proceeds from “Wise Tails” are donated to a local charity which provides visiting hospice care in the community.
On the personal side, Linda has a great love for yoga and, in addition to practicing regularly, she is also a certified yoga instructor (CYT 500). She loves to travel and when not coaching or teaching yoga, you will find her satisfying her wanderlust.
